Refund policy

We offer a 30-day exchange policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your order to request an exchange.
Refunds are not available under any circumstances.


Eligibility for Exchange

To qualify for an exchange:

  • Your item must be in the same condition that you received it — unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.

  • You must provide your receipt or proof of purchase.

  • You must provide valid proof of vehicle ownership as required by DVLA regulations.


Proof of Ownership – DVLA Compliance

Under the DVLA Number Plate Supplier Regulations, we are legally required to verify your identity and entitlement to the vehicle before supplying or exchanging a number plate.
You must therefore provide both of the following before an exchange can be processed:

1. Proof of Identity (one of the following):

  • Driving Licence

  • Passport

  • Utility bill issued within the last six months

  • Bank or building society statement

2. Proof of Entitlement (to the registration number):

  • Vehicle Registration Certificate (V5C)

  • Certificate of Entitlement (V750)

  • Retention Document (V778)

  • Lease agreement (if applicable)

If you fail to provide valid proof of both identity and entitlement, your exchange will not be processed, and no refund will be issued.


How to Request an Exchange

To start an exchange, please email us at signatureplates@hotmail.com with:

  • Your order number

  • Proof of purchase

  • Proof of identity

  • Proof of entitlement to the registration number

  • A brief description of the issue

Once your request is approved, we’ll provide instructions on how and where to send your plate(s).
Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.


Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect. We will review your claim and arrange an exchange if appropriate.


Exceptions / Non-Exchangeable Items

We cannot accept exchanges for:

  • Custom or personalized plates produced exactly to your order specifications

  • Sale or discounted items

  • Plates showing any signs of use or damage

  • Items returned without prior authorization

  • Items missing required proof of ownership (V5C, licence, etc.)


European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your order is delivered to a location within the European Union, you are entitled under EU law to cancel or exchange your order within 14 days of receipt.
However, this right does not apply to custom-made or personalized number plates, in accordance with Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.


No Refunds Policy

Please note that we do not issue refunds under any circumstances.
Only exchanges will be provided where eligibility and documentation requirements are met.
Failure to provide valid proof of ownership (e.g., V5C and driving licence) will result in your exchange being declined and no refund will be issued.
